Do dell employ blind QA staff?

I ordered a nice Dell XPS M1330 on the 22/10/08 and was surprised when it landed on my door stop this morning (26/10/08) only 4 days for building and delivery, well done dell!
However my joy was short lived, i opened the laptop and slabbered over the sleek and cool finish booted it up and started to fiddle with vista. My fiancee pointed out some marks on the side of the laptop:

The packaging was in tip-top condition no marks or anything so the laptop was clearly damaged prior to the transit process.
Whats annoying me is that some monkey clearly has dropped it and didn’t want to own up so just send the laptop on in the hope that it couldn’t be tracked back to them!
Dell must employ some blind QA team if this amount of damage got by without being spotted!
