Being dragged around bicester village, god I hate this place!
I bought a D70 camera for my trip to China, the pictures I took the last time with my compact were a little crap so i decided this time to bring a proper camera!!!!
I’ve never used a SLR/DSLR before so all this aperture, depth of field business is a little confusing!!! The camera has a shutter/aperture priority modes, in shutter priority you set the speed and the camera deals with the aperture and vice versa. Shutter priority makes sense to me if somethings moving fast you need a fast shutter speed to get it nice and sharp or slow if you want a blur, but the aperture use was eluding me until i did some reading.
I did some experimentation setting high and low aperture settings to get a blurred effect of the items that are not in focus:

High aperture so everythings in focus

Low aperture so lower DOF giving a nice blur
At least i think this is how it works!!!!!!!
The shutter priority mode is bigggggg time fun with a long shutter time and a LED torch!!

UFO!!!!!

lighttttttttt
