Im currently staying in a hotel that instead of WiFi around the rooms they use network points, sadly with no CAT5 socket on my iPhone and a very weak GSM signal i had to find another method of getting the internet to the device!

Through the use of a local proxy, a SSH tunnel and some slight modification of the iPhone’s preferences its possible to have the iPhone connect via the laptops internet.
